FITTING GUIDE FOR SKATES Ice skates normally fit 1 to 1 1/2 sizes smaller than your shoe sizes When sizing skates for younger players, you can go up 1/2 size to accommodate growth, but be careful not to buy the skates too big. A skate that is too big is not supported by the foot, and will cause blisters and premature breakdown.
STEPS FOR A PERFECT FIT Try on skates with same socks you plan to skate Unlace skate enough to allow foot to slide in easilyPush foot toward front of skate until big toe just touches end of toe capYou should be able to fit one finger between the back of your foot and the heel of the skateForce your foot to the heel of the skate by kicking it on the floorLace up the skateFor a proper fit, the big toe should be able to just barely touch the toe cap
SKATE CARE Remove the skate's footbed to allow boot to dry Wipe all water off of your skate blades, and cover them with "soakers" or cloth skate guards
